Safeguard your child’s future
Help your child to thrive
At Elixium, Cindy Ferrari is passionate about turning the tide of the current trend toward chronic poor health. It starts with nourishing our children and building healthy habits and life skills to set them up as healthy adults with bodies and mindsets capable of warding off future diseases, enabling lives to be lived well.
The modern world is fast-paced, high-stress, and full of toxins. Many families rely on fast food, heavily altered convenience food devoid of natural nutrition. Much of the food marketed to us is ladened with ingredients totally unrecognisable and unusable to the body.
Children are undernourished, and their bodies become stressed from having to get rid of the toxic ingredients. It is not a coincidence that childhood illness has reached worryingly high proportions. Chronic diseases in early life used to be practically unheard of but are now commonplace; allergies, intolerances, skin issues, neurological diseases and diabetes are examples of diseases that are now rife, and the projected trajectory of more of these conditions is one of a steep incline.
Obesity in children is significantly on the rise, and it’s not as simple as just carrying extra weight - it is evidence of unhealthy bodily functions. Obesity is a complex multifactorial disease with conditions like heart disease, diabetes, cancers, endocrine disorders, anxiety, depression, and stroke more likely to occur. Digestive organs become inefficient and struggle to perform their essential functions, and thus, the body buckles as the fuel necessary for biological processes to take place is simply unavailable.
Many compounding factors are behind this rise, some of which are out of our control, linked to societal complexities, encouraged by big business, etc. Still, some are within our control. Parents can help build their children’s health and attitude to wellbeing so that their bodies can combat the challenges of modern life. The body is designed and set up to adapt to the pressures of life, but it needs the right tools and conditions.
Food and correct nourishment provide the platform, but factors such as where, how and when you eat are essential. Hydration, activity, sleep, stress levels, thoughts, family dynamics, and ancestral experiences all come to bear and play a part. It’s about finding balance and what works for your children.
Here at Elixium, we can help you find that balance.
Key Statistics:
25% of 4-5 year olds and 41% of 10-11 year olds are overweight/obese (NHS).
67% of children’s diets come from normalised ultra-processed foods (UPFs). Some children exist on between 80-100% UPFs (Imperial College London, 2021)

Fuel their goals
Supporting your child with the right nutrition starts at home
Food preferences, eating habits and associated lifestyle behaviours are built within childhood, with long-lasting, far-reaching effects on health. Elixium is committed to inspiring children and their families to build eating and lifestyle habits that will make them healthier, resilient, and adaptable.
Like adults, every child is different, and they have different needs depending on their individuality.
Elixium will help tailor your child’s diet to their specific needs, work with you to build knowledge and understanding around the difference between food that are the building blocks for vital health and the palatable compositions masquerading as food that do way more harm than good, how to make time and develop rhythms that suit the whole family, how to incorporate more nutrient-dense foods reducing processed foods and how to move in this direction when the entire world seems to be going in the other direction and supermarkets are stocked full of UPFs.
Food forms the foundation of vital health, but other factors like good and adequate sleep, stress management techniques, setting boundaries and expectations, and strategies for managing mental and emotional health are also essential.
The childhood years shape the rest of a child’s adult life, so it’s important to give your child the best chance during this phase of life.
